Robotech, a privately held company with a team of around 35 employees, specializes in delivering tailored automation solutions. Its approach combines in-house design, engineering, and system integration, supported by a network of trusted manufacturing partners.

The acquisition is expected to complement and accelerate ongoing robotics initiatives within GE Vernova’s Advanced Research Center (ARC).

These efforts are focused on deploying automation across the company’s supply chain to enhance safety, improve quality, and drive better delivery and cost efficiency. The deal also aligns with GE Vernova’s broader capital allocation strategy, which includes targeted, strategic acquisitions.

The two companies are already working together on several projects within GE Vernova’s supply chain, including operations at its facilities in Schenectady, New York, and Charleroi, Pennsylvania.

Financial terms have not been disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in early Q3 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

GE Vernova has maintained a strong presence in Canada for more than 130 years. Today, the company employs over 2,400 people across six manufacturing and office locations nationwide.

Its technologies currently support roughly 43% of Canada’s electricity generation, spanning power generation, transmission, conversion, storage, and grid orchestration.

The company is also working with Ontario Power Generation in Toronto to build the Western world’s first Small Modular Reactor, reinforcing its role in shaping a more resilient energy future.
