Agile Robots has taken a majority stake in XNG Automation, a Bengaluru-based factory and intralogistics automation company, in a move that strengthens its push into India’s fast-growing manufacturing market.
The investment gives Agile Robots a stronger local route to market for its robotics and automation solutions as Indian industry continues to modernize and expand. It also brings together Agile Robots’ AI-enabled hardware and software with XNG’s systems integration expertise in factory and logistics automation.
Founded in 2018 as a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center in Munich, Agile Robots has built a global footprint across consumer electronics, automotive and other industrial sectors. The company says it has deployed more than 20,000 robotics solutions worldwide and is expanding its focus on Physical AI, which applies intelligence across production systems.
Its portfolio includes the dexterous Agile Hand and the humanoid robot Agile ONE, both positioned for industrial use.
XNG brings local scale and execution strength to the partnership. The company has around 200 employees and works in sectors including consumer electronics, automotive and electric vehicles. Its client list includes Bosch and Toyota, and it has developed expertise in machine vision and system integration.
The deal also builds on Agile Robots’ existing India expansion. In 2024, the company opened a high-tech production facility in Chennai and set up a regional headquarters in Bengaluru.
Together, the investment and partnership gives the company a stronger platform to serve Indian customers with integrated robotics and automation solutions backed by local implementation support.
