Home robots have been promising convenience for years, but most have remained little more than impressive demos with limited real-world use. Weave Robotics’ new Isaac 1 is aiming to change that by focusing on two of the most repetitive household chores, laundry and tidying up.
The San Francisco startup has introduced Isaac 1 as a mobile home robot built for everyday domestic tasks. Unlike earlier designs that stayed in one spot, Isaac 1 can move around the home, collect dirty clothes, fold and put them away, make beds, arrange pillows and blankets, and even return toys and other clutter to where they belong.
Weave says the robot is designed to handle most tasks on its own, while also using remote teleoperation when it needs help. Users can start chores through a smartphone app, either right away or on a schedule, which makes the system feel far more practical than a novelty product.
The hardware includes a wheeled base, dual robotic arms, and an extendable body that adjusts to different jobs. Reports say Isaac 1 offers about eight hours of battery life, recharges in roughly two hours, and will come in five color options.
Its pricing keeps it firmly in premium territory. The robot is listed at $7,999 or available through a $449 monthly subscription, with deliveries expected to begin in California in fall 2026 and wider US availability planned for 2027.
